I just had my LASIK done and have been insanely happy with the results. I remember my first pair of glasses were these horrendous grandma glasses that I got in the 3rd grade. As I grew up I figured i had to deal with the glasses because I couldn't afford contacts, let alone LASIK surgery.
That's when, 12 years later, I came across IQ Laser Vision's website. I read and re-read everything on the site and was very interested in their "a winner every month" program that they have. Basically, after giving them a consultation, they chose one person a month to win a free LASIK surgery. I signed up for it and within a few hours I got a call to schedule my consultation for December. When I got there, I signed some paperwork and waited no more than 3-5 minutes before I got called in. Really good service, right?! At the end of the consultation, I met with one of their financial advisors because they knew I was interested in the surgery.
It may be different for most people but they told me that 'regular' LASIK for me would be $3,200 for both eyes. If I wanted the WaveFront procedure, less halos, it would be an additional $1,000. We talked about ways of payment, up front, payments...etc. I of course didn't have it up front and have no credit so the payments wouldn't work either. They give the option of a cosigner, essentially having someone else's name on the paperwork but you would still be paying. Unfortunately, my parents wouldn't be bothered with that. So I left, spoke with the parents, they said no and I forgot about IQ Laser Vision. I did get a call from Dr. Lin the day after my consultation for any questions I had, though, which was a nice touch.
I WAS SO EXCITED!! To get the call from IQ telling me I had won their FREE LASIK drawing. I scheduled the surgery immediately. I went in for a second consultation before the surgery because it had been a while and everything was the same. The say prior to the surgery I was instructed to put eye drops in my eyes every few hours which they provided. I also had to get prescription drops, which my insurance paid for, otherwise it would have run about $70+. The day of the procedure went VERY smoothly and I did not feel rushed at all. You are kept awake during the surgery, which didn't bother me. It's a little weird hearing the machine/laser doing it's work but also kind of fun. Something new. Dr. Lin was above my head the whole time letting me know what to expect, including any noises.
Less than 15 minutes later I’m sitting on a couch waiting for some time to pass with my eyes closed before I can leave. Another 15 minutes go by and someone asks me if my driver is there (you can't drive after the surgery, bummer, I know). I said yes and opened my eyes to get up and WOW! I could already see clearer!!! I wanted to start crying but told myself to be good. Within a couple hours I was zonked out on my bed thanks to a little pill called Ambien that they gave me so I would sleep for 6 hours to let my eyes heal. It's been 5 days since my LASIK was done, I got the regular one, if I wanted the WaveFront I would have had to pay the extra $1,000. I've been putting in my drops as told. They supplied 1 bottle, and some tears, and I had the prescription bottle also. That's it.
It's a very simple surgery when done correctly. In and out :)
Thank you so much Dr. Lin!

I have been wearing glasses since I was 8. I had always wanted to get away from having to wear glasses or be bothered with contact lenses, but was apprehensive about having someone mess with my eyes. Then one morning I was listening to 95.5 KLOS Los Angeles and heard an advertisement for Dr. Robert Lin. I wrote down the number and called. From the first initial phone contact, to the exam then the consultation, I knew that Dr. Lin and his staff cared about their patients with sincerity. They explained the procedure in a way that you didn't have to go to medical school to understand.
Then I got a call back from Dr. Lin's office congratulating me on being their contest winner from the KLOS drawing. I could not believe it, I was finally going to be free from glasses, and contacts forever. I could not have felt more calm and relaxed about having the procedure done, with the professional way his staff handled everything from the moment I walked to the door until I went home that day. Then they even called a few hours just to check and see if everything was all right. The next morning I drove myself to the follow up appointment! Since my surgery, I have gotten comment after comment on how much better I look. And I feel great too!! Thank you Dr. Lin for everything and believe me, if anyone asks who did my surgery, I will not hesitate to recommend you and your staff.

All too often many of us portray the victim when life hands us a lemon; not so for Isaiah Deresa. At the tender age of 3, Isaiah lost his father to cancer. Raised by a single mother, Isaiah chose to remove himself from an extremely negative environment when his mother married an abusive man. At 14, he left home and went to live with his grandmother in Montebello, CA. Four years later he was the first in his family to graduate high school. Three months after his graduation tragedy struck again when Isaiah's grandmother passed away from cardiac arrest. Isaiah found it difficult to balance both school and work in order to make ends meet since he had no financial support of any kind. Isaiah signed up for the Army and by 2004 Isaiah had completed tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Since leaving the Army, Isaiah has rededicated himself to finishing school. He attended Mount San Antonio College where he served as the elected Student Trustee on the Mt. SAC Board of Trustees and an Honors student. Isaiah subsequently transferred to the University of California, Berkeley and is currently a Biology Scholar studying Molecular Cell Biology. He intends to continue his education to graduate school and pursue a PhD in Cancer Biology. We are more than honored to select Isaiah Deresa as our Steve Harvey Dreams Promotion for free LASIK eye correction. Isaiah could have easily given in to life's misfortunes, but he was a determined individual who did not let adversity victimize him. Instead he took the road less traveled and was able to achieve many life accomplishments. Isaiah made one final comment that we all took to heart: my accomplishments are proof that you make your own future, it is not given to you. Words that we could all learn to live by. Isaiah's story is one of diligence, inspiration and perseverance; and IQ Laser Vision is proud to offer Isaiah Deresa free LASIK eye correction!

When I got the call telling me I had won a FREE Lasik procedure I could not believe it! I asked Christine, my personal patient coordinator, four or five times if she was joking! I was excited, but also a little nervous about the procedure. Dr. Lin and his staff were great and explained every detail to help ease my nerves. I had my eyes corrected and never looked back. Even weeks after the procedure I am still amazed at the results! I actually see better than I did with contacts and glasses! My last three eye exams have all put me at 20/15 vision; that's better than 20/20! I tell friends everyday about how Micro-Lasik has changed my life and I would encourage anyone interested to go to Dr. Lin for a free consultation to find out if they are a qualified candidate. He and his entire staff are professional and courteous. They truly made me feel cared for and they were genuinely concerned about my personal situation. They are extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my many questions to my satisfaction. I will continue to let all of my friends and family know that this has changed my life and encourage any of them who have vision problems to go see Dr. Lin. Thank you IQ Laser Vision and thank you Dr. Lin!
