1. Experienced and Caring Surgeon Robert T. Lin, M.D. is a graduate and Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA School of Medicine (Jules Stein Eye Institute), and has performed over 15,000 refractive procedures, and is also a board-certified ophthalmologist by the American Board of Ophthalmology. The Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance (CRSQA) has distinguished Dr. Robert Lin as one of the few CRSQA Certified Refractive Surgeons in the United States. He is also named, “America’s Top Ophthalmologists” by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. Dr. Lin underwent LASIK ten years ago, and sees 20/20 without glasses. Dr. Lin will take the time to make sure that you feel at ease before, during, and after your surgery. 2. Excellent Results 95% of our patients obtain uncorrected vision within 1 line of their best correctable vision, which is 20/20 for most patients. 99.9% obtain 20/40 vision (minimum to pass the driver’s test). Our enhancement rate is below 5%, while the national average is approximately 10%. 3. Latest Technology We are one of the few centers that use GALILEI Dual Scheimflug Analyzer to diagnose otherwise undetectable conditions of your cornea that may prevent you from safely undergoing LASIK. We offer Wavefront-Guided Custom Micro-LASIK®, to decrease glare and halos. We are the first and only center in California that has the upgraded 200 Hz Eyetracker for the Nidek EC-5000 laser. Eyetrackers ensure that the laser will deliver the optimal treatment, should your eyes move during surgery. Unfortunately, only a few centers in Southern California have invested in the eyetracker.To ensure consistent results, the manufacturers, not third parties, service all of our lasers. 4. Unsurpassed Safety Dr. Lin is a pioneer in ultra-thin flap LASIK (MICRO-LASIK®, Trademark #2681144, U.S. Patent Office) and LASEK, and has performed over 15,000 procedures. The advantages of these published, tissue-conserving techniques are less dry eyes, decreased weakening of the cornea, and more available treatment options. Dr. Lin was featured on nationally televised show called “Health Watch” in 2005. Dr. Lin’s Micro-LASIK technique enables more patients to safely undergo advanced treatments such as Wavefront-Guided Custom Micro-LASIK. 5.
