What is the KAMRA Inlay? Infographic

Time to start the new year without your reading glasses! Do you hear what I hear?  Can you see what I see?  Happy Holiday folks! What a way to end the year! Inside Edition featured the KAMRA INLAY with IQ Laser Vision ’s surgeon, Dr. Robert T. Lin performing the procedure.  So if you struggle with reading glasses (always forgetting where you last left them, juggling 10 different pairs or find them a nuisance) then you need to look into the KAMRA Inlay. The KAMRA Inlay is a new FDA approved implant that helps to restore near vision for those suffering from presbyopia or blurry near vision. The inlay provides a natural range of vision so that you can see near and far, meaning you could reduce the level of dependency on reading glasses!

KAMRA

The KAMRA inlay is an implant and sits in the first few layers of the eye known as the cornea.  It is smaller and even thinner than a contact lens. There is an opening, a pinhole, in the center of the inlay, similar to that of a donut. This pinhole allows only focused light to enter your eye. The KAMRA inlay is placed in only one of your eyes, enabling you to see up close, while maintaining your distance vision in both eyes. So with your non-KAMRA eye left untouched, your eyes will work together allowing you to see far and near.

The KAMRA inlay is a solution for people who are tired of their reading glasses and ready for an alternative solution to presbyopia correction.  To learn more about the KAMRA inlay, schedule a consultation with a KAMRA inlay certified ophthalmologist. A thorough eye examination will determine if you are a qualified candidate for this procedure.

IQ Laser Vision ’s ophthalmologist, Dr. Robert T. Lin, has been in practice for nearly 20 years and at his own center for over 15 years. Most noteworthy is that as soon as the FDA approved the KAMRA inlay procedure in the U.S., Dr. Lin was certified and has been performing them since. The KAMRA inlay procedure has been well-received internationally and performed for years in countries such as Japan and Canada.  So to learn more about the KAMRA inlay, check out the procedure as featured on Inside Edition here.
