LASIK for Presbyopia: Monovision and Blended Vision

LASIK is one of the surgical options available for presbyopia treatment in Los Angeles. It uses laser technology to reshape the cornea and restore clearer vision. There are two main LASIK-based approaches for presbyopia:

Monovision LASIK:

The dominant eye is corrected for distance vision while the other eye is optimised for near tasks. The brain learns to select the appropriate eye depending on what is being viewed. This is the most commonly used LASIK technique for presbyopia.

Blended Vision LASIK:

A more advanced technique that corrects both eyes across a range of distances by creating a multifocal correction zone. This approach is designed to overcome the limitations of standard monovision and provide a more seamless visual experience.
