IQ Laser Vision is now offering the EVO ICL for patients between the ages of 21 and 45 years old. The EVO ICL is an additive lens meant to supplement your natural lens, and does not involve removing tissue.
The EVO ICL does not replace your natural lens.
Instead, it’s placed in front of your natural lens. The EVO ICL treats and corrects up to -16 diopters of nearsightedness, as well as up to 4.0 diopters of astigmatism.
The EVO ICL is made from collamer (similar to naturally occurring collagen). A highly biocompatible material that works in harmony with the natural eye. EVO corrects nearsightedness and astigmatism, and you can have it removed at any time.
An implantable collamer lens like EVO ICL from IQ Laser Vision may be something worth considering! Our surgeons have performed this procedure since 2008, giving life-changing results, so why not find out if it could be right for you?
EVO ICL can treat and correct moderate to severe nearsightedness. We have been able to treat up to -29.00 diopters of nearsightedness in patients! If you want freedom from glasses and contacts but know that your prescription is over LASIK’s treatment limit, the EVO ICL procedure could be the solution you’re looking for!

For the best results, you should have EVO ICL implanted to correct moderate to high nearsightedness, but it can treat a wide variety of prescriptions. It is FDA-approved for people who are between the ages of 21 to 45, but can work well with patients that are between 18-59 if their prescription is stable with no cataracts.
For those looking at a vision correction option with significant higher degrees nearsightedness, you may be a good candidate for the EVO ICL. In as little as twenty to thirty minutes, you'll finally be able to achieve the crisp vision you've always wanted thanks to the EVO ICL.
And if you change your mind about the EVO ICL? You can always have it removed at a later date!
If you’ve looked into other vision correction options and found out that your corneas are too thin, you can get EVO ICL as well since there’s no tissue removed during the procedure. The EVO ICL is a tiny lens implant that you can have removed if your prescription changes or you change your mind for any reason.
EVO ICL will give you clear vision and the peace of mind that you can live a life that’s free from the distractions of glasses and contacts.
Deciding whether to have a procedure like EVO ICL can be hard to make if you don’t know enough about it. Benefits of EVO ICL include some of the following to consider:
EVO ICL procedure usually takes only 20-30 minutes to complete. You may notice that your vision is better immediately after the procedure is over.
Another advantage of EVO ICL is you don’t need to take off days from work to recover. In fact, most people that have EVO ICL implanted decide to go back to work the next day!
Most people that go with EVO ICL find that they no longer need to wear their glasses or contacts at all! Can you imagine a world where you’re no longer held back by the constraints of your vision?
If you’re nervous about having something implanted in your eye, don’t be. Your IQ Laser Vision surgeon will place the lens behind the iris, so nobody can see it.
EVO ICL is made of collamer, a material that contains polymer and collagen. These materials are compatible with the chemistry of your eye. That means your eye and your body won’t react to them or try to reject them.
Instead, EVO ICL is something that feels so natural you’ll forget it’s there!
Wondering if you’ll need to have your cornea reshaped like during LASIK? This is not the case during the EVO ICL procedure!
You won’t have your cornea reshaped in any way, and EVO ICL is non-invasive. This makes EVO ICL quite appealing for people that may have found out they can’t have LASIK because their corneas are too thin!
EVO ICL minimizes unnatural causes of dry eye syndrome, especially when compared to LASIK. Because the lens is made of collamer, it contains an ultraviolet light filter, which protects your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.
Unlike a procedure like LASIK, having EVO ICL implanted is completely reversible! It’s normal for your vision needs to change as you age. Your eye doctor can easily implant another lens to address your vision needs if you want.
You may think you can see clearly using glasses or contacts, but you’ll have better vision than you’ve ever experienced when you have EVO ICL implanted. Your vision will be sharper, clearer, and more vivid.
You’ll finally be able to see the world as it was meant to be seen, complete with vibrant colors, depth, dimension, and its full beauty. Who wouldn’t prefer this as their way of seeing the world around them?
I highly recommend IQ Laser Vision to those who are interested in getting their vision corrected. They have different options depending on your eye's condition (SMILE, LASIK, ICL) and have different locations as well!!
I can't thank Dr. Lin enough for giving me a 20/20 vision. He was very patient and made the procedure as painless and comfortable as possible. Thank you to Dr. Liu, Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Richard, and all the amazing staff for being kind and extremely helpful throughout a life changing experience. Thank you IQ Laser VIsion for taking care of me and making my 2021 a year with 2020 vision!

A week before the surgery, the first step is to visit your IQ Laser Vision ophthalmologist, who will be performing the procedure.
On the day of the procedure, you will receive a relaxation pill and and numbing eye drops. The last thing anyone wants is you to be in pain, so they'll numb your eyes and help keep you comfortable.
You'll still be awake but sedated. Being sedated helps you move your eyes less during the procedure. If you're still feeling overwhelmed, close your eyes and breathe. It will be over before you know it.
Once your eyes are numb and you’re comfortable, your surgeon will use drops to clean out your eyes. They will also use a lid to gently hold your eyelids open so you don't blink.
Your surgeon then creates a small opening in your eye. The lens is folded and placed in the eye.
Once they make sure the lens is in place, your surgeon and the nurses at IQ Laser Vision will apply eye drops or ointment to lubricate and protect the cornea. You will have clear eye shields to wear after the procedure to protect the eye.
After you’re cleared to go home, you’ll need to have someone else drive you home. You can’t drive yourself home so make sure a friend or family member can bring you to and from your appointment.
You’ll need to rest your eyes once you get home from your EVO ICL procedure. Avoid any activities that may strain your eyes like watching TV, reading, or any strenuous exercising for the first day.
You can use drops and ointments to keep your eyes moist once you are home after your EVO ICL procedure. Expect to return to your eye doctor the day after you have the implant for a follow-up appointment.
This is to ensure your eyes are healing and the lens is where it should be.
Schedule an appointment at IQ Laser Vision to speak to our expert team of ophthalmologists and to find out if this may be the route to vision correction you’ve been searching for!
