Dr. Patrick J. Pham is a board-certified cataract and refractive surgeon born and raised in Los Angeles. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology with distinction at the University of California, Berkeley. He pursued a doctorate degree at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, where he graduated at the top of his class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then completed his medical internship at the Baylor College of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at Case Western University where he served as the chief medical surgical resident during his senior year. He went on to pursue a cornea and external disease fellowship at the Doheny Eye center at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he focused on refractive surgery, complex anterior segment surgery, and corneal transplantation.
Throughout his academic career, Dr. Pham has conducted award-winning research in ophthalmology, presented at multiple national meetings at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and was published in peer-review literature. He has also completed various community service by collaborating with organizations that aim to serve those without appropriate access to eye care and to promote the recovery of unused medical supplies to be donated for international medical relief. He joins IQ Laser Vision with a particular interest in surgical vision correction utilizing both laser- and lens-based advanced technologies.
